Additional details

As a native New Yorker, I haven’t been able to bring myself to go here — even now, so many years later.  The pools themselves made me feel overwhelming sadness.  But they are breathtaking to behold.

How Long to Spend There

  • Museum only: 1.5–2 hours
  • Museum + time at outdoor memorial: 2–3 hours or more

Plan extra time if you want to watch full videos or read detailed exhibits.

  • Tips for Visiting
  • Buy timed-entry tickets online to avoid long waits.
  • Weekday mornings are the least crowded.
  • Some exhibits contain sensitive or emotional content. Note:  I’d say all of them.

No large bags allowed; security screening required.
