Upper West Side

The Upper West Side, to me, has a little more European feel. I really love the outdoor cafés in the summer.

Loving my upper west side!

The Upper West Side of Manhattan is one of New York City’s most beloved and picturesque neighborhoods, offering a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. Bordered by Central Park to the east and the Hudson River to the west, and stretching roughly from

West 59th Street to West 110th Street, the Upper West Side is a vibrant residential and cultural hub that has long attracted artists, intellectuals, and families alike. Its tree-lined streets, grand pre-war buildings, and a mix of classic brownstones and modern luxury apartments create an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming.

Eats:

The Upper West Side also offers some of Manhattan’s best dining experiences.

  • Beloved neighborhood spots like  Zabar’s, the legendary gourmet market on Broadway, have been serving New Yorkers for generations.
  • You’ll find cozy cafes, old-school delis, and fine dining restaurants like Barney Greengrass, Jacob’s Pickles, and Nice Matin lining the avenues.
  • For a night out, visitors can enjoy a cocktail at The Dakota Bar or take in a relaxed evening of jazz at Smoke Jazz & Supper Club, one of the most intimate venues in the city.

The Parks:

Central Park and Riverside Park frame the neighborhood with endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Residents jog, cycle, and stroll along the park paths year-round, enjoying breathtaking views of the river and skyline.
