About

Gramercy Park is a quiet, historic Manhattan neighborhood near Union Square with plenty to offer, including great restaurants, stylish hotels, and elegant bars, as well as music venues, and easy access to other neighborhoods.

As I live in the area, there is not a LOT to do in Gramercy, but it does border a few fantastic neighborhoods such as Park Avenue South, Union Square, Murray Hill, and the East Village.  It is filled with great restaurants and quiet, centrally located hotel.

To Do

Restaurants

  • Follia: I eat here, and I love it!  Italian restaurant and wine bar located at 179 3rd Avenue in the Gramercy Park area of New York City. The restaurant specializes in traditional Italian cuisine, including homemade pastas, antipasti, and artisan pizzas baked in a wood-burning oven, along with a selection of wines, craft beers, and cocktails. The atmosphere is casual yet refined, making it suitable for both relaxed dinners and small gatherings.
  • Casa Mono:  52 Irving Place: I’ve walked by here frequently, but haven’t eaten in here.  Looks really good.  A Spanish place.
  • Gvrito (often known as Chito Gvrito) is a Georgian restaurant located at 173 Third Avenue, between East 16th and East 17th Streets in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan. It looks really interesting but I haven’t eaten here. The restaurant specializes in authentic Georgian cuisine, featuring traditional dishes such as khinkali dumplings, khachapuri cheese bread, grilled meats, and regional stews, along with a curated selection of Georgian wines. The atmosphere is warm and contemporary, combining traditional flavors with a modern dining setting.
  • Pierre Loti Wine Bar — 53 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003. Mediterranean-influenced wine bar with small plates in a cozy, historic space.
  • Palermo Argentinian Bistro — 53 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003. Argentinian bistro offering steaks, seafood, and classic Argentine dishes with a strong wine list.
  • Pete’s Tavern — 129 East 18th Street (corner of Irving Place), New York, NY 10003. One of NYC’s oldest taverns serving classic American pub food in a landmark setting.
