7:30 PM | Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center — 1941 Broadway, New York, NY 10023 English choreographer Akram Khan, known for blending classical kathak technique with contemporary dance, presents the U.S. premiere of a work for nine to eleven women set in the ancient desert landscape of AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The score pairs the London Bulgarian Choir’s “Gyura Beli Belo Platno” with “The Elephant’s Funeral,” an unusual combination mirroring the piece’s themes of heritage and memory.
