The kickoff of Bryant Park’s free outdoor performance series, presented by Bank of America, which brings 24 dance, music, and theater shows to the lawn over the summer. The park lends out hundreds of free blankets first-come-first-served, plus pre-set bistro chairs around the lawn’s edges. Food and drink are available from Hester Street Fair vendors and Stout NYC on the east side. Falling the night before the Fourth of July, expect a livelier-than-usual holiday-weekend crowd.
