I don’t always leave my neighborhood as often as I should, so today I decided to do what I am telling everyone else to do: EXPLORE Manhattan. I hadn’t been to the Lower East Side in a while, and I was wonderfully surprised by all the new places that have POPPED up since my last visit. I went to one, but I am going to make it my business to try each of these every week!  I started at Stanton Street and wound around the blocks, ending at Houston Street.

  1. Fossetta for brunch and wow. 198 Allen Street: Talk about decadent. Only $52 for 2. Can’t be beat. Amazing coffee.
  2. Also on Stanton was Dialogue. A  great spot for coffee on the go or to stay for a chat and enjoy a cup!
  3. Around the corner was a cute bar called 82 Stanton. Pretty crowded with Marathon celebrations.
  4. Mojo East is definitely one I’m going to try- Omakase Mojo Style for under $50! 13 Courses
  5. Johnny’s Pizza– on 173 Orchard Street, is said to be the best pizza on the Lower East Side.
  6. Walking to the next stop is 7th Street Burger – amazing for the price
  7. Saigon Social is on 172 Orchard and is an elevated take on Vietnamese food. Gets high ratings on all reviews.
  8. Son Del North on 177 Orchard was like WOW! Tacos, Nachos, and More
  9. Next door is Chocolate Drip on 177 Orchard if you even have room for dessert
  10. Taverna di Bacco 175 Ludlow St, New York, a sweet Italian with 5 stars all reviews
  11. Across the street is the Ludlow Hotel with this amazing bar. I LOVE IT! And also in the Ludlow Hotel is Dirty French, which is NOT a strip bar. But a French restaurant by the major food group.
  12. And wrapping up the Lower East Side is the MOST AMAZING gelato, is il Laboratorio del gelato on Houston Street—the border of the Lower East Side and the East Village.
