It’s really hard to explain the Arte Museum. Think of it as a 4-D surround-sound visual extravaganza.

Writing about this and sharing the images doesn’t begin to explain what this total immersion into your senses – seeing, hearing, feeling and smelling it like. Created by a Korean Web Design agency, D’strict, it was an incredible experience to walk through all the galleries. From the first exhibit, I thought, “For this I paid $48?”, but then slowly, each different gallery took over and claimed my senses and brought me to another place.
I went on Sunday night, it was quieter (but still crowded). It has approximately 14 distinct areas. The one that caught my attention is where we colored on a coloring page, scanned our drawings, and your creation came to life! The final room is a 15 – 20-minute 4D movie, and what a spectacular ending to a pretty spectacular show overall.
Good for all ages – kids over 4 (I think). It took me about 2 hours to go through, but I strolled, thought, and watched again and again. Also, there is only one other in the United States – so a unique experience indeed!
Fastest for me: Uber
Train – nothing goes that far west. The 1 train will take you to 23rd and 7th Avene. Get off at 23 and transfer to the M23 bus West, that will take you there.
I took two hours, but it can be shorter or longer depending on how long you stay in the rooms.
In my opinion, no younger than 4. But I did see younger kids. And kids under 3 are free, so why not?
There is a cafe for drinks and light snacks.
Yes, there are restrooms and changing tables.
