Hotels Midtown East

There is one hotel that I really like – very close to Grand Central, and subways, restaurants, etc.  It is called the Prince Kitano and at 66 Park Avenue (on 38th Street).  I have not checked out the rooms, but the lobby is that of a boutique hotel in Japan and it has two really nice restaurants.

Near Grand Central.

• Hyatt Grand Central New York – Literally adjacent to the terminal — very easy access to trains and subways.  I’ve been inside and it’s nice
• Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central – Looks very basic, but in a good area.  Not my first choice.
• Hilton Club Quarters Hotel Grand Central – Well-reviewed hotel ideal for business travelers and city explorers.
• Fitzpatrick Grand Central – They said it’s been refurbished but I haven’t been inside, so I can’t vouch for the rooms.
• Pod 39 Hotel – Compact, modern rooms popular with travelers. Super “cheap” but very small, my daughter’s stayed there.
