The best place to stay when visiting Manhattan, though frequently overlooked, is the Lower East Side. You’re not going to believe all the fantastic things you can do around this area of Manhattan. In addition, there are some amazing hotels, and with its central location, you will be happy you made this choice.
All around the area, are sumptuous restaurants and cafes, cute clothing stores, and wonderfully situated near the East Village, Soho, and FiDi. The many public transportation routes, can also get to other places in Manhattan, with little effort.
Quite hidden on Ludlow Street, you might not even notice it when you are walking by. But it opens up like a bright Oasis in the middle of the block. Part of the Major Food Group, it’s definitely a place I’d stay or just go to the cool and comfy bar. Expect to pay between $400 and $800 a night, depending on the month.

Modern lobby, nice suites, this hotel drops as low as $250/night in January – one of the best times to visit Manhattan.
Walked by this Hotel…it’s right across from the Ludlow Hotel, and looks nice. Room rates seem reasonable for Manhattan, starting at $180/night in January 2026, which is shockingly low for Manhattan!
